A fair question.
Fundamentally I think the Fifth Edition of Dungeons & Dragons is a reasonably solid set of rules for a TTRPG, and while there are occasional errata (Sage Advice) from Wizards themselves, which cover clarifications to the existing rules, these also suffer from the same issue that the Player's Handbook and Dungeon Master's Guide have; the writing.
These books are intended to be an introduction to D&D, giving the player an enthusiastic and whimsical bite of the storytelling potential of D&D; in itself, this is a noble goal, but it does mean that it can be tricky to sort through the descriptions, to get to the meat of what you're trying to find.
Therefore, this site doesn't intend to supplant the official books, and obviously I would encourage buying them for the depth they provide; likewise, it doesn't attempt to replicate the various Fifth Edition wikis that already exist (partly because this isn't traditionally community-sourced in the same manner;) instead, this offers a no-nonsense summary of various rules and descriptions that a Player (or Dungeon Master) might need to reference quickly.
Sometimes, it might be necessary to be a little verbose, specifically when there's complications to a fundamental rule (such as the number of Spells that can be cast in a turn, for example,) but attempts will be made to keep this to a minimum.
