• Ability Checks for proficient skills
• Ability Checks for proficient tools
• Proficient Saving Throws
• Saving Throw Difficulty Class for Spells

+2 for a 1st-level character.

Monster proficiency is incorporated into their stat block.

Doesn't stack on a single dice roll, i.e. if two things say 'add your proficiency bonus' for a single roll, you only add it once.

May be multiplied or divided sometimes.
